Course Description: This course will begin with a study of God’s heart towards the lost, that all might be saved, and Jesus’ payment on the cross that it might be accomplished. There will also be discussions on our part in the commission and our personal testimony. Time will be spent discussing how the role of evangelism fits into the larger church structure and is most fruitful when working with other people with different giftings. Several weeks will be spent looking at different spheres of influence where evangelism plays an important role in expanding the Kingdom. The way the evangelist interacts within the church and the world will be brought into the discussion. This course will focus on going out and doing evangelism.

Geoff Holsclaw (PhD) is cohost of the Embodied Faith podcast, which seeks a neuroscience-informed spiritual formation. He is also an affiliate professor of theology at Northern Seminary(Lisle, Illinois) and a pastor at Vineyard North in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Geoff is author of several books, most recently Does God Really Like Me? Discovering the God Who Wants to Be With Us.
